Printable Dual Nature of Matter and Radiation formula sheet: formulas, key ideas and traps on one page. Save it as a PDF for offline revision.
Appears in almost every JEE Main shift. Modern Physics is among the most scoring parts of JEE Main. Use hc = 1240 eV·nm to save time.
Chapter names follow the current rationalised NCERT textbooks. Read these sections before solving PYQs.

Question. Light of wavelength 200 nm is incident on a metal surface having work function 4.2 eV. The photoelectrons emitted with maximum kinetic energy are then accelerated through an additional potential difference V. If the de Broglie wavelength of these accelerated electrons is 0.1 nm, find the value of V. (Take h = 6.63 × 10⁻³⁴ J·s, c = 3 × 10⁸ m/s, mass of electron = 9.1 × 10⁻³¹ kg)
Answer: V ≈ 148 to 150 V
This example was solved twice independently and both solutions agree.
Full-chapter free lectures picked from YouTube search results by views, from established JEE channels (mostly in Hinglish). Use the subtopic list to jump straight to the part you need (timestamps come from each video's own chapter list). Watch one, then solve PYQs the same day.
Appears in almost every JEE Main shift. It is part of the official 'Dual Nature of Matter and Radiation' unit in the JEE Main 2027 syllabus.
E = hf = hc/λ; hc ≈ 1240 eV·nm; K_max = hf − φ = eV₀; de Broglie λ = h/p = h/√(2mK).
Understand the key ideas from NCERT or one full lecture, learn the formula sheet, then solve 25–30 past JEE questions on the topic. Modern Physics is among the most scoring parts of JEE Main. Use hc = 1240 eV·nm to save time.
