Are these official JoSAA cutoffs?
Yes. All closing rank data is sourced from the official JoSAA counselling results published at josaa.nic.in after each round. We organize it for easier comparison — always verify critical decisions on the official portal.
Can I use old cutoffs to predict my chances?
Old cutoffs are trend indicators, not guarantees. Use 3-year averages as planning bands. Actual cutoffs shift based on paper difficulty, total candidates, seat changes, and new branch introductions.
Why do NIT cutoffs show two columns?
NITs have home-state and other-state quotas. The same branch at the same NIT can have very different closing ranks depending on your domicile state.
What is the difference between opening and closing rank?
Opening rank is the best (lowest) rank that got a seat in Round 1. Closing rank is the last rank that got a seat in the final round. For planning, focus on closing ranks — they tell you the realistic cutoff.
