Yes, cracking JEE Main in 3 months is possible if you: (1) Already have Class 11-12 basics clear, (2) Focus only on high-weightage topics (40% of syllabus = 70% questions), (3) Solve 50+ PYQs daily, (4) Take 3-4 full mocks per week. JEE Advanced in 3 months is much harder but not impossible for focused students.
NCERT is sufficient for 60-70% of JEE Main Chemistry and 40-50% of Physics. For Maths, NCERT builds concepts but you need additional problem practice. For 150+ marks, supplement NCERT with coaching modules or HC Verma/DC Pandey for Physics, and any standard JEE book for Maths problems.
Quality matters more than quantity. 4-6 focused hours daily for 18+ months can crack JEE Main with 150+ marks. For JEE Advanced, 6-8 hours is typical. Most toppers report 6-10 hours of actual productive study. Beyond 10 hours, diminishing returns set in. Consistency over months beats occasional 12-hour days.
Absolutely. JEE tests preparation, not innate intelligence. Many IITians were average students in school. Keys to success: (1) Start early (Class 11), (2) Be consistent (small daily effort), (3) Focus on understanding over memorization, (4) Learn from mistakes through error analysis. Your school grades do not predict JEE success.
Start with: (1) NCERT for all three subjects to build foundation, (2) One coaching module or standard book per subject, (3) Topic-wise PYQs from Day 1, (4) Weekly revision schedule. First 3 months focus only on Class 11 basics. Join a test series by month 4. Avoid YouTube rabbit holes - stick to one source per subject.
