BITSAT 2027: Dates, Pattern and Eligibility

What to expect from BITSAT 2027, based on recent cycles, and how to fit it into your JEE preparation without losing focus.

BITSAT 2027 dates are not announced yet. Registration usually opens in January and the exam runs in two sessions, in May and June.

+3 for a correct answer, −1 for a wrong one. If you finish all 130 questions in time, you can attempt up to 12 extra questions, but you cannot go back to the earlier ones.

Eligibility

BITSAT eligibility (recent cycles)

  • Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry and Maths.
  • At least 75% aggregate in PCM, with at least 60% in each of the three subjects.
  • Class 12 passed in the current or previous year.
  • Board toppers have historically been given direct admission.
Prep plan

How to prepare for BITSAT with JEE Main

  • Your JEE Main syllabus covers most of BITSAT Physics, Chemistry and Maths. Do not start a separate course.
  • BITSAT rewards speed: 130 questions in 180 minutes. From March, take one BITSAT-style mock every week.
  • Add 15 minutes a day of English and logical reasoning from February. See our BITSAT speed plan.

Fitting BITSAT around JEE

From January to April, most of your time stays on JEE Main. Add 15 minutes of English and reasoning a day from February. After Session 2 in April, switch to BITSAT-style speed mocks for the weeks before your BITSAT slot. That way BITSAT practice also sharpens your JEE Advanced speed.
