Which rank is used for reserved category seats in JoSAA?
Category seats in JoSAA are allotted using the category rank for that specific seat type, not the All India Rank. OPEN seats are allotted using CRL or AIR.
Why is my category rank much lower than my All India Rank?
Because category rank is computed only against candidates in your own category, while AIR is computed against every candidate. A smaller candidate pool produces a smaller rank number.
